Who is NETTIE?

NETTIE goes Forth

Once upon a time, in the deep waters of the Forth, there lived a monster. NETTIE was her name.

For hundreds of years she lived a quiet life swimming up and down the Forth, watching bridges being built, chatting to her pals at the Deep Sea World,
and passing the time of day with the odd whale that happened by.

NETTIE soon tired of treading water. She wanted more from life. She wanted to be a star, like her cousin up in Loch Ness.

Opportunity sailed by one day when she overheard the local fishermen talking about the Net. Devoured by a thirst for more information, and wondering
how you could surf without any boards, NETTIE came ashore.

Green about the Gyles she startled many during her progress to the heart of the capital city. At the Central Reference Library she found what she had
been looking for...the InterNet.

She discovered her feet using the Web and was immediately captured. NETTIE dived in and traveled the deep depths of human knowledge to find monster amounts of information,
looking for the tastiest bytes. The world was her oyster.

NETTIE was hooked !!
