Beaded Candy Canes
Supplies
24 gauge beading wire
glass beads, red, green, white, crystal
needle nose pliers

Instructions:
Cut pieces of the wire to the length you want.
6 1/2 in. lengths work well with three strands
twisted. If you want larger candy canes, then
plan on twisting more strands together.

Make a loop on one end of the wire. Start
threading the beads on. When the wire is full,
make another loop to hold the beads on.

When you have three strands (for the 6 1/2
inch) join the three strands together at one
end, then start twisting. Join the wires at the
final end. Tuck any exposed wire into the
beads to hide. Bend to a candy cane shape.
That's all there is to it.

Decorate with ribbon in middle of candle
at top of candy canes.

Materials:

4" flower pot
6-10" length of thick dowel
3-4" diameter styrofoam ball
Christmas candy in wrappers
Green and red ribbon
Acrylic paint: white, red and green
Lace
Straight pins
Florist's styrofoam block

Instructions:
1.Paint the flower pot white. Allow to dry, then paint red  stripes on the lip.

2.Paint holly leaves and berries (or any other Christmas theme  you like) on the bottom of the pot.

3.Paint dowel white. Allow to dry, then paint red stripes.  (Use masking tape to help you keep your lines even.)

4.Cut florist's styrofoam to fit snugly into the pot. It's best to  cut it a bit larger than you think, and then stuff the block into  the pot securely.

5.Insert one end of the dowel into the center of the styrofoam  block. Then push the styrofoam ball onto the top of the  dowel.

6.Decorate the styrofoam ball by pinning layers of candies on  it. Started with a row of red candies pinned to the very  bottom of the ball. Then  gather some lace, made small bows
with the red and green ribbon pinned together to the ball.   Pin a peppermint candy to the center of each bow.  Then pin on another row of candies, followed by  another row of lace/bow/candies. The top of the ball is a
double bow made with green and red ribbon, surrounded  by peppermint candies.

7.Fill the top of the pot with more Christmas candy on a bed  of raffia, ribbon or lace to cover the styrofoam block.

8.Make a large ribbon and attach it just under the ball.
