              The City of Cleveland is located where the Cuyahoga River
meets the south shore of Lake Erie.
              Greater Cleveland extends 100 miles along the shore,
and includes about 40 miles inland.

Fun Facts

Cleveland once had the tallest building in the United States
West of New York in the Terminal Tower--52 stories! (Built in
1929)

A pair of Glendale High School students 
(Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster)  while still students
developed the super
hero "Superman" in the 1930's!

Margaret Hamilton, who played the Wicked Witch of the West in the
Wizard of Oz movie, was from Cleveland.  Her sister
Dorothy was married to the son of Cleveland inventor Charles Brush,
who created electric traffic light.

Weather

Cleveland has four distinct seasons.  The summers are mild with plenty
of sunny days.  Out of towners come to Cleveland in the fall just to 
see the spectacular red, orange and gold leaves on the trees.
Winters are gloomy cold, icy & snowy.   Springs are rainy
