POPCAN BAT

Materials Needed
Black spray paint
Tacky glue
Paint for eyes and mouth
small pompoms
black foam
magnet
glitter paint for wings
crushed pop can

See picture attached  bottom of page for completed project.
This example was made by a 1st grader.

Directions: Crush pop can - do NOT crush hockey puck style, you want the
can elongated. The bottom of the can is
crushed to the back. The top of the can is crushed to the front.

Spray paint the can black, let dry

Paint on eyes and mouth

Glue on orange or red small pompom for nose

Cut out ears (triangles) and wings from black craft foam Glue ears and
wings on can

Outline wings with gray glitter paint or glue

Attach magnets to back of wings for use as a magnet. You could also
attach a string for hanging instead if you wish.

This is a very cute and easy craft for all age levels. You do need to
crush and paint the cans ahead of time as they
take a while to dry.

Makes a wonderful Centerpiece!

Supplies needed:
Dryer vent
Orange spray paint
Green felt
Fake fall leaves
Tacky Glue
Green spray paint
Cone shaped styrofoam
Small wiggly eyes
Small black pom pom
Green pipe cleaners

* Cut off section of dryer vent and make into a circle glueing the two ends together.
* Spray paint the vent orange (let dry)
* Spray paint the styrofoam green for the stem (let dry)
* Curl the green pipe cleaner around your finger. Put a little glue on the pipe cleaner and place on top in center hole of
pumpkin. Place glue on styrofoam stem and press down into center on top of pumpkin.
* Cut two green leaves out of felt and place on top of pumpkin.
* Glue additional fall leaves to the bottom of the pumpkin (it then looks like it's sitting in a pile of leaves.)
* Glue wiggly eyes to the black pom pom and glue on green leaf on top of pumpkin.

That's it! You now have a real neat looking center piece. With the ruffled dryer vent it really looks like a pumpkin.

really CRAWL.

Square Paper Napkins
Black felt-tip pen
Lemons or oranges

Unfold the napkin. Lightly draw 1,2, or
2 eyes in the center. Or, draw a mouth
with sharp teeth all around.
Try not to press down hard or you'll
tear the napkin.
Twist each corner of the napkin to make
a little leg.  You can also pull out of the
center of each side and twist, if
you want to give your creepy crawly 6 or eight legs.
Put the creepy crawlies on the table slip
a lemon or orange under them.  Push them
along gently.  As the fruit rolls, the creepy
crawly will skuttle along.

adding small quantities of water until the mixture
has the consistency of mayonnaise. Add a few
drops of blue and yellow food coloring and mix until
the spooky slime has turned a suitable shade of
green. Put your hands in the mixture and enjoy!

Note: Don't try to pour your spooky slime down the
sink when you're finished with it. Toss it in the garbage instead.
