The story of Rudolph, the reindeer whose shiny nose lights Santa Claus's way "one foggy Christmas Eve" is as well known to American children as the story of Santa himself. The story was created in 1939 by a Montgomery Ward adman named Robert May. Seeking something that their store Santas could hand out to children, company mangers asked May for a poem. So with the help of his 4 year old daughter he came up with Rudolph and his shiny nose. That year the store distributed 2.4 million copies |

Magic Reindeer Food
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup Dried Oatmeal
1/3 cup Glitter
1 Heartfull of Christmas
Hope
INSTRUCTIONS
Before Christmas
Eve, In a bowl, Mix together the Oatmeal &
Glitter.Fold in
Christmas Hope put into a seal top plastic bag or if you use a
baggie(tie it shut).
On Christmas Eve, sprinkle Magic Reindeer Food on your lawn
before "Bedtime"
The Glitter will
"Shine in the Moonlight" & lead Dear Santa to your
house before dawn
The "Smell of Oats" will lead the Reindeer to your Rooftop.
The "Christmas Hope"
and "Magic Reindeer Food" guarantee
Dear Santa will
be there.

How about whipping up some Reindeer
antlers?
1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate
chips
1/2 cup Butterscotch chips
3 oz Can chow mein
noodles
12 Maraschino
cherries, halved
Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips together
in a
medium saucepan over low heat, stirring
occasionally. Remove the pan from heat. Stir
in
chow mein noodles.
Using two teaspoons, on a waxed paper-lined
cookie sheet,
shape about 1 Tablespoon of the mixture in
a V-shaped cookie
about 2" wide to resemble antlers.
Press a cherry half securely in the center of each.
Repeat for remaining cookies.
Chill cookies on the cookie sheet in the refrigerator
for
1 to 2 hours or till cookies are firm.
Store the antlers in the refrigerator in a
covered
container up to 5 days.
