HOW LONG IS MY HEART??

Place the bookmark randomly in the book allowing the marker to dangle from a page.  Walk the book slowly around the classroom and have the children write down their guess as to what page the bookmark is on.  The child guessing the page or coming the closest to it without going over is the winner of the bookmark.

For the older child. You can also vary this game by placing it in a Valentines book and have the child that guess the closet read the story/article or whatever to the class. They also take home the bookmark.

Valentine Toss:

You will Need:
3 Heart shaped containers that fit into one another. (Dollar Store)
Candy Kisses

Place the 3 containers inside one another.  Draw a line or place a piece of masking tape on the floor some distance from the containers.  Start each child with 3 kisses. Have the children try their luck in tossing their candy getting them into the smallest heart. The person landing the candy in the center heart can collect all the candy from the area (this can be his prize).  The game can continue on & each time a child lands one in center he too collects the candy until all the candy is gone.

Pass the Heart Please!!

You will Need:
1 Large Spoon
Hearts cut out of Fun Foam in various sizes.

Each child is given a few hearts of various sizes to start. The first child is given the spoon and told to place one of his hearts into it and pass it onto the next person. Each child must add a heart to it and pass it along to next child without losing any hearts!!
If they lose a heart they are out of the game.  The spoon is then handed to next person who adds TWO of his hearts and passes it along with each player now adding two of his hearts. Each time the spoon is restarted add a HEART to the count to speed it up. The dropped hearts maybe redistributed to those still left in the game.
Have a little prize ready for the winner that is age appropriate.

**This game may be modified to be played in teams with a little bit of imagination. Pass it up the line, team not losing their hearts or having the most in spoon win.
